About this Position

We are looking for a creative Marketing Coordinator to join our team in growing Maplewood Brewery & Distillery across all of our markets. The ideal candidate is someone that can blend creative vision and analytical insight as you communicate our story as uniquely and effectively as possible. Past experience with establishing marketing campaigns and creating content in craft beer, craft spirits, food or hospitality, is a huge plus.

You will be asked to take an imaginative and professional approach to content creation, and must be ready to execute when inspiration hits. Effective communication and the ability to follow a budget is a must. Our marketing campaigns reflect the same polish and hard work that goes into our products, and a high level of organization in addition to project management skills are required to succeed at this position.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Maplewood Sales & Operations Director to support Maplewood Marketing team tasks and projects, and to support Sales Management.
  • Support creation of annual and monthly content calendars including all sales, event, production, Lounge, and other social media support requirements.
  • Develop and edit creative content in photo, video, and text formats for product launches, promotions, and social media posts in support of all Maplewood initiatives.
  • Manage all social media, programming, event, advertising, and other copywriting. Proofread and provide final approval for all materials created by internal teams.
  • Conduct market research to develop new ideas for branding and content. Stay current in marketing trends related to the craft beer and spirits industry.
  • Manage all social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Untappd, etc.) including scheduling posts, on-site and off-site event listings, and engaging with customers.
  • Implement Maplewood voice across all channels (digital and print communications, advertisements, etc.) and maintain brand and style standards.
  • Create and implement digital advertising and social media campaigns to promote all brand and product initiatives.
  • Respond to inbound social media customer inquiries and comments in a professional and timely manner.
  • Conduct routine social media audits, and frequently monitor competitor marketing activities by executing monthly analysis reports.
  • Manage all Maplewood website content including general framework, brand and product updates, newsletter, new products and releases, on-site and off-site event listings, and other general information.
  • Maintain all general business platforms and accounts (Google business, Yelp, etc.)
  • Manage monthly newsletter and contact list for Customers containing current/upcoming products, deals, programs, events, and other general information.
  • Create and implement programming and advertising campaigns to promote brand and designated products (including printed materials, signage, billboards, etc.)
  • Provide support to Sales, Marketing, and Design departments as needed for Merchandise, E-Commerce Site, Off-Site Events/Festivals, taproom programs, and other general Maplewood Marketing initiatives.
  • Work from a budget to order and manage Maplewood POS inventory across Maplewood and Distributors from project inception to completion
  • Plan and organize and Sales POS items and packages, and coordinate POS pick-ups with Maplewood/Distributor Sales Teams.
  • Lead communication with Distributor Marketing Teams to submit materials, request printing, establish shelf standards, develop off-premise merchandising displays, create on-premise signage, successfully execute programming across regions/accounts, etc.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: 1+ Years of Marketing experience in the Craft Beverage Industry (or related creative or service industry).
  • Ability to photograph on a professional level – please include a Photography Portfolio with Resume.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the craft beverage industry and emerging trends.
  • Strong written and communication skills with a great relationship-building personality.
  • Organized, Self-Motivated, Efficient, and have high standards for Customer Service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Must have a clean driving record, own a reliable car, and be willing to occasionally travel.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
